I feel like this is true because you can be smart and be a brat or a bad person. The bad people use their intellect for bad things. On the other hand, if you have character. it means you're a good person. This is good because being a person of character is better than having intellect and being a snob. The point is character is more important than intellect will ever be. It's better to be nice than to be a smart snob.
